Brave Cake

That hair...

I love that movie! When I was watching it, I couldn't get over how much hair Merida had. Then I had the opportunity to do a Brave-themed cake. She has a lot of hair!

It was a challenge to try to recreate her with fondant! This cake pushed me, and I loved it!

What a fantastic movie to base a cake off of! I had a hard time limiting what to put on the cake, because my mind ran and ran with this theme.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make this cake!

Best thing about this treat? Inside is a super-moist chocolate cake, outside all Brave props and characters are hand-made with home-made marshmallow fondant.

Dora Cake

I love having toys on cakes for little kids! I think it is a lasting memory for them to hold and, hopefully, make them smile each time they play.

I had a different idea in mind for this cake, but, as crazy as it sounds, I had a REALLY hard time finding a Dora toy. So, a beach cake it became.

 I used brown sugar for the "sand" and covered the candle in it as well.

This cake makes me happy! Happy Birthday, Jelly!!!!
Best thing about this treat? Pink and purple watermelon-flavored cake inside!!
